The time to lose the drama, came for me a long time ago. Recently however, I found myself being drawn into FB group dramas and I saw and heard the proverbial red light go off in my head.
It wasn’t that I hadn’t enjoyed my time in these groups. It wasn’t that I hadn’t met some very fine people and even a few I can call friends.
The problem was, that as with most friend oriented groups, issues arose between members that could have pushed one to take a position for one or the other involved.
Rather than take a position, I chose to leave and it was not the first time I have done this. I had been in a group before where the arguing got so petty as to become juvenile.
I have worked very hard both physically and emotionally to make my life as stress free as possible. As a Cancer survivor, stress had no place in my daily life.
I have regretfully had to move certain family members out of my life as well. It is always a sad and heart wrenching decision to exclude those you care about, family and friends, including those on FB.
Sometimes, you have to do what is best for you.
For me, this is a drama free life.
I’ll put the drama in my books instead.
