I remember this moment.
It was when I sat down at my computer with nothing in my head to write about.
I just started with where I thought I wanted to go and sure enough, within moments my character Bella had taken control of my thoughts.
This character, Bella, or to use her full name, Julia Isabella Garrison, at least so far, has been taking me on a wild ride lately. Originally, she was a way to enter into the story in an interesting yet easy way. Now, she, along with Mamie, are the two main characters.
Bella is present day protagonist and Mamie is the Civil War era protagonist. I have a dual story line going, which also was an afterthought. I fought the idea of a dual storyline for a long time but Bella just keeps popping up. She always has something to say. Always
But, I’m liking it more and more. I’m being moved into a sort of paranormal story line. I had rejected this awhile back but you know how those pesky characters can be. Bella would not give up and I found myself continually writing about strange noises and sensing something in the air
Yesterday, I don’t think I did my best writing but I stuck with it. Why? Because Bella intrigues me.
In the end, end of the story that is, I may have to break it up into two books. I’m putting that decision off for now. It is clear though, that Bella has much more to say. I may end up with a two book series.
Ok. Well, happy July 4th to all my fellow Americans.
Everyone else, have a great day.
Happy 4th of July . Nice Post.
